After a troubled defensive performance in its first scrimmage Saturday and a practice that lacked the approval of team leaders on Monday morning, the University of Alabama football team rebounded with improvement with its latest two practices to close fall camp. Fall classes at UA begin today, signaling the end of camp and more of an in-season practice routine for players, with no more two-a-day sessions. “We’ve had two really good practices, (Monday) night and today. I think the intensity, a little bit of the spirit is coming back a little bit with the players,” Saban said. “I think maybe Monday morning when we practiced I was a little disappointed and I think the heat, coming off a scrimmage, coming off a day off, probably affected everybody’s focus and ability to sustain what we’re trying to do.
