    take my advice.

    After watching the Sr Bowl, it came to me that the 'phins should trade down w/ Chicago & get more picks then trade down again w/ Tennessee and get more picks.

    With a minimum of a 2nd & extra 3rd this yr, Miami would be wise to draft as follows;

    1st round Derrick Johnson LB Texas
    2nd Swancutt DE Oregon St
    3a Wilkerson C LSU
    3b Kay-Jay Harris RB W Virigina

    i kinda like PackAttack's advice....look at Steve Spurrier who coached amazingly at Florida....went to Washington and did crap. I dont see Nick Saban doing good in the NFL at all....they shouldve stuck with Jim Bates...plus the players love him. I hear Nick Saban is kinda mean, i wouldnt like him.

    Spurier was a run n' gun offensive coach that the NFL knew how to stop it. I think Saban will do ok. I don't see him doin great, maybe a little better than Spurier.

    That is the most sissy comment I ever heard, and if that is how the Dolphin players feel you guys are in trouble. Players and Head coaches should not be friends, there should be a mutual respect between the two.

    Why would chicago want to trade up?

    This is purely speculation on my part. 1) why not? 2) to ensure getting a marquee WR.

    E4L; You summed it up fairly decently. Miami tried Mr Nice guy as head coach the last 5 seasons and we all know how well that woked.

    Forget trading down w/ Chicago & the Titans. It has come to my attention that Washington wants a WR.

    Snyder is just stupid enough to try trading up. Its a damn shame that Gibbs may act as the voice of reason.

    Chicago might be a willing trade partner if a CB or WR seperates themselves from the pack, but not likly....I could see the Redskins falling in love with Mike Williams and giving up their pick, Rod Gardner, and 2nd to move....this draft has no shape at the moment, but once players work out for teams and at the combine, then GMs will become enamored with players as always and the trade spec will get going....

    For those 2 spots, i think it is very unlikely, there is no top players in this draft, more a morass of good players from 1-10, all about equal, so if you are trading down it will likely be at a minimum 10 spots or more

    There is a scenario in which a team like the bears would want to come up....Kiper talked all last week about a kid that may run a sub-4.2 at the combine....He a CB and I dont have his name, but hes considered a top prospect....if that kid goes out and puts up a 4.19(Deion ran a 4.29) and then looks good in other drills, suddenly, he seperates himself from the pack and a team could get hung up on him and decide they just have to have him....the other scenario is that one of the QBs light it up and teams get hung up on them....then if the 49ers pass, teams will come calling....or what if Derrick Johnson runs a 4.4 at the combine, then teams are all over him as well....there is a lot of time between now and the draft and players do tend to seperate themselves based on personal workouts....

    thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard....there is always talent in the draft for teams to find....this draft has future stars like every other draft....and because this draft doesnt have a lot of stand out stars, it only takes the emergence of 2 for teams to be falling all over themselves to move up....one QB that seperates and one other player and the 2nd pick is good enough to move for....say Alex Smith blows the combine away and then Ced Benson does the same, teams will start lining up....
