After a faltering 1-4 start, Sacramento has once again regained their rightful postion as one of the top teams in the Western Conference, railing off 7 straight wins and improving their overall record to 8-4. Sacramento's troubles began during their season kickoff, The Texas Triangle in an unkindly fashion. In Dallas, season opener, on Tuesday. The following night in San Antonio, than a 3 day rest as Sacramento traveled to face Houston on Saturday. However Sacramento has since rebounded, mainly because of their play inside Arco Arena. The Kings remain perfect at home, 6-0, but face their toughest Arco opponent thus far this season in Minnesota. Thankfully The Wolves are currently lacking offensive fire power, as Cassell and Sprewell's production has been nearly cut in half in comparison to last season. The Kings likely will take advantage of this, currently ranking 3rd in PPG at HOME among the entire NBA. So assuming The Kings can defeat Minnesota in Arco Sunday Night, how long does this streak continue? Here's their upcoming schedule: Tuesday 30th - @ Memphis Wednesday 1st - @ New Orleans Friday 3rd - Indiana Sunday 5th - Boston Tuesday 7th - Charlotte Friday 10th - @ Minnesota Saturday 11th - @ Indiana Tuesday 14th - @ Milwaukee Thursday 16th - L.A. Lakers Sunday 19th - New Orleans Tuesday 21st - Washington Thursday 23rd - Miami Sunday 26th - Golden State Friday 31st - @ Utah The Games in Red are perhaps Sacramento's toughest games in the next month or so. In Minnesota, In Indiana, and Miami inside ARCO. If you give Sacramento the benefit of the doubt, it's not impossible to imagine them tacking several wins onto their 7 game winning streak. Perhaps riding into their matchup against Minnesota (DEC 10TH) with a League's Best 13 game win streak? Or even shocking the league, hosting Miami with 20 straight victories (DEC 23RD). Looking at their schedule I certainly wouldn't rule out Sacramento breaking NBA records in the next month or so. If not a "PERFECT" streak, Sacramento pulling out of the month of December with 20 wins wouldn't come as a surprise. End of December - Sacramento perhaps 21-6? What do you guys think of Sacramento's current streak, their chances of maintaining it Sunday Night against Minnesota, and it's possible longevity?
I think if they beat minnesota, the streak either ends the next game at memphis or in their next meeting with minnesota.I would LOVE to see the kings win 20 straight .Unfortunately, they arent the new england patriots.
If we can get it done tonight against the Timberwolves at Arco, then I think that the streak can be extended to at least 13 games. However, the NBA is so competitive and all the teams have so much talent, any team can beat any team on any night. The Kings just have to take it (biggest cliche ever) one game at a time. If they can do that, then the sky's the limit.
We shouldn't get down on this squad though, they have a very favorable schedule in the next month or so and have the potential to rebound into another streak without much effort...
It was a great streak, and we did good overall. We played good ball, and now all we have to do is keep on winning and we will be fine.

I think the Kings win this one easily. (but then again... I also thought the Raiders were going to have a winning season.... so take that for what its worth )
