http://www.nypost.com/sports/giants/52347.htm<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>September 6, 2005 -- The Giants' game against the Saints, originally scheduled for the Superdome in New Orleans, will be played at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 at Giants Stadium. The Saints, of course, cannot play in New Orleans because of the ravages of Hurricane Katrina. The game will be televised using an unusual format. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m. will begin as an ABC national telecast before switching to regional status in the New York, New Orleans and some Gulf Coast markets. At 9 p.m., ABC will televise the regularly scheduled Monday Night Football game between the Cowboys and Redskins, with the remainder of the Giants-Saints game picked up on ESPN. Fund-raising efforts will be held during both games. * Chad Morton was a member of the Patriots last week. While he was studying film of the Giants, New England's final preseason opponent, he recalls feeling wistful. He nearly signed with the Giants three months earlier. "I kind of almost felt like it was a missed opportunity when I'm sitting there watching them and the [New England]coaches were talking about their team," Morton said. "I was thinking man, I miss New York, it was a great visit, maybe I should have stayed there in the beginning." Funny how things work out. Morton, coming off surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee, never got in a game for the Pats and was released Tuesday. A few days later, the Giants worked him out again and signed him. Tom Coughlin confirmed that Morton will handle punt returns Sunday. Morton, 28, has averaged nine yards on 62 punt returns in his five-year career. "I feel like I'm starting all over again," said Morton, who is familiar with the tricky Giants Stadium winds from his two years (2001-02) with the Jets. *Coughlin said the trends that developed during training camp will continue in the regular-season. David Tyree is the No. 3 receiver, Reggie Torbor will start at strong side linebacker (shifting Carlos Emmons to the weak side) and William Joseph and Kendrick Clancy will start at the defensive tackle spots.</div>
