The Saints are playing the 1st team yet against the Pats into the 4th quarter and are loosing 27-22. They better come back and win because it's a little sad. Sorry Bleed but it's not looken good.

yap, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap.

These are the only stats i care about.

    Time of Possession:

    NO - 38:03
    NE - 21:57

    Third Down Conversion Percentage:

    NO - 11/18 = 61%
    NE - 2/9 = 22%

Preseason is for working out the kinks.

The score was 17-13 Pats, when both 1st string teams were in.

I'm happy with the running game. I think we just showed everyone what the Saints will be all about this year. Hard nose football, keep the defense off the field as much as possible, work the clock and keep that 3rd down % high.

I sure hope New England has an answer for that run defense, because McGahee, Martin and Brown/Williams will eat them up.

Hobbs looked really good for New England along with Pass.

Thank god they came back and won. Brady played a quarer in a half and Flutie played about a quarter. Brooks played into the 4th. If you give the ball to Deuce McAlister 20 times and he only gains 88 yards when NE was playing there 2nd and 3rd stringers than you might have something to worry about. Either way NE was the better team with their first team but just be thankful your Saints won. Otherwise that would of been sad.

All the starters were out about 6 minutes into the 3rd quater. Brook only played into the 3rd, not 4th. Deuce had 63 yards at halftime against the 1st team defense, he only had 5 rushes in the 2nd half against the 2nd team defense, where he gained 25 yards on five carries. What game were you watching??

What ever beef or what not you have with the Saints, that's your problem, but don't try to come at me with this nonsense. For one it's only preseason and two i can care less what a Packer/Panther/Viking fan thinks anyway. You have three other teams to worry about, quit trying to evaluate a team you hate, it will only get you nowhere.

Pats looked alright...defense did get run on alot (no warren or vrabel) but I was more concerned with lack of containment on the QB...either way I'm not worried because we actually look a little better than we did at this time last season...we were getting killed in the preseason last year...Tim Dwight actually looked quite impressive as did most of our special teams play...which is big since that was our worst department last season and one of the saints best departments...we had a lot of 3 downs we gave up which I didn't like but it give belichick something to harp on and fix...Jason Anderson continues to look good...to bad he will probably be cut.

Why are you calling me a Panther fan?

I have no beef with the Saints. I don't think they are gonna be good this year thats all. If you play your first team for about 3 quarters which they did about. Then you better win the game. They finally made a late surge and it took long enough. I wanted to see McPhearson play but that didn't happen. I stick by my picks. I may not get the record right but I believe the Saints will bring up the rear of that divsion.

I have never seen a team (NO) so desperate to win a preseason game.

I don't think the Saints will shed the underachiever role until Haslett & possibly Brooks are shown the way out of town.

The biggest problem with the Saints in the past four or five years is that they are such TERRIBLY SLOW STARTERS! You'll be watching the game and they'll be scoreless or have less than seven points by halftime. It'll be halfway through the third quarter and still nothing. Then, at the end of the third quarter and into the fourth, they start playing "catch up" and make a game of it. And they win about half the time...

I'm not sure what they're doing wrong, but if they could ever get consistent play out of the team for four quarters (or even three!) they'd be all set. I think most Saints fans must have heart conditions by now. [IMG]
