After watching the Boston game, I think that Mo Cheeks is really considering putting Salmons in the starting lineup and having Korver come off the bench. I know he hit that great 3, but before that he sat a LONG time because of his poor defense. Salmons seemed to come in and defend his man better. I know we had a great win last game, but I think Salmons should get a start and we could bring Korver in off the bench for offense. Korver would still get roughly the same minutes, esp. when hes feeling it. What do you guys think?

After this shot I promised I would not say anything bad about Korver for at least the next two weeks. So I will go ahead and say he should remain the starter. Although, Salmons has looked more impressive at times this season Korver has just one upped him in every game. Korver brings a certain extra aspect to the 76ers when he is on the court something Salmons does not. Also the fact that Korver will make 20 million during the course of the next view years as opposed to Salmons who is a free agent after this season makes the organization almost obliged to stick with their investment.

No way I start Johnny. Korver stretches the defense with his three-point shot, and that allows AI to have more room to work, etc. He also cannot create his own shot, so he is much better as a spot-up shooter, therefore he works better off of Webber and AI.

Johnny was only in early in the Boston game because of his defense against Ricky Davis, nothing else.

couldnt have said it better. although i dont think korver is starting material, i dont think salmons is either. they would both make good a good 6th man, just not a good starter.

Well, we might see Salmons starting tomorrow night:

It was also suggested that the lineup needs to be adjusted, but King differed the answer to Head Coach Maurice Cheeks.

"We're thinking about it very strongly," said Cheeks after practice. "Johnny (Salmons) worked with the first team today, and I haven't made a decision whether I'm going to do it or not, but he worked with the team mostly today, in place of Kyle (Korver)."

"It might happen," said Korver in response to the possibility of coming off the bench. "Whatever we need to do to get this team winning. I'm not here to have a big ego or anything. If he thinks it helps having me come off the bench then we'll try it out."
