<div class="quote_poster">Quoting twolvefan11:</div><div class="quote_post">And he still won't make the All-Star game this year, even though it is deserved.</div> - Kobe Bryant (LAL) DESERVES - Steve Francis (Hou.) DESERVES - Gary Payton (LAL) - Steve Nash (Dal.) DESERVES - Emanuel Ginobili (S.A.) - Stephon Marbury (Pho.) DESERVES - Mike Bibby (Sac.) - *Tony Parker (S.A.) - *Michael Finley (Dal.) - *Ray Allen (Sea.) Those 4 alone deserve it above Cassell, and if Ray Allen and Tony Parker weren't injured, they probably would too. Not that Cassell isn't good, because he is awesome, but that just goes to show the talent level.

Whoever said that Nash & Francis belong in the all-star game over Cassell. I have on question for you. Where have you been this season? did you not see how Cassell outplayed Francis a couple of weeks ago? did you not see how Sam scored the last 7pts last week in the victory over Steve Nash & Dallas? You people need to start comparing production & not names or espn highlights. Cassell shoots a % Steve Francis will never shoot in his whole career, trust me. Francis isnt even an all star this year but you people dont know any better so you have him leading all point guards in votes. SAD
Cassell is a better point guard than Steve Francis...Well everyone is a better PG than Francis.Doesn't mean he is the better overall player though.Francis will make it because the fans want to see him start and excite the crowd.Cassell won't do that...or do anything exciting.I would rank Cassell as the 2nd best point guard in the west so far..at worse 3rd behind Gary Payton. The all-star game is basically just for the fans.I wouldn't get caught up with who doesn't make it.Stat wise players like Michael Redd should make it...but likely won't.It's just a weekend for the players to have some fun.Basically see some high flying dunks and plays.
Wow, you T-wolf fans are really concerned about your players making the all-star squad; maybe you should concentrate more on getting past the 1st round of the playoffs...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting the MDE:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow, you T-wolf fans are really concerned about your players making the all-star squad; maybe you should concentrate more on getting past the 1st round of the playoffs...</div> If youd don't think we haven't been thinking of getting past the first round of the playoffs for the past 7 years, that is just a stupid remark. We would like to see players who deserve to go to the All-Star game go, and this year it just so happens that one of them is Cassell.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting the MDE:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow, you T-wolf fans are really concerned about your players making the all-star squad; maybe you should concentrate more on getting past the 1st round of the playoffs...</div> Well I was never a big t-wolves fan before Sam Iam got there.Where ever Sam plays will always be my second favorite team behind the Nets. And of course Iam want Sam to be in the All-star game. He is my favorite player by far. It is easy for you to say why are people so worried about a player making thhe All-star game. Your favorite player is Shaq. You dont have to worry about if he going to make it because you know he has an automatic bid every season until he retires. Sam is an ALL-STAR . And I will continue to say it until people take notice.
I wouldn't say Sam deserves it more than Franchise, but more than Nash definitely. Not that Sam doesn't deserve a spot. Fact: Sam has slightly better numbers than Francis Fact: Francis carries more of a load than Cassell for his team to win But that's only assuming that the ASG should be for all the best players. That's not true. I never liked seeing Malone in there, because he wasn't exciting and never seemed to thrive as a 3rd, 4th or 5th option. But he was consistently among the West's top 2 forwards. The ASG is for the crowd-pleasers to, well, please the crowds. And they do that time and again. Sam can be a flashy guy. But oftentimes he isn't. Still, I'd like to see him in an ASG before he retires, and he won't have many opportunities left.
