I was on facebook a few moments ago on the Official Toronto Raptors Fan Club page and noticed someone said they just heard Sam say in an interview that Nesterovic will be the starting centre against Philly... What do you guys think about that?

It's early enough in the season to experiment with your lineups and try to find the right mix. If it results in more winning then it was a good move, but I'm surprised he'd want Rasho in there against the 76ers of all teams. They have no low post threat and having Bargnani matched up with Dalembert takes Sammy out of the paint along with his shotblocking.

From the games I've seen I think Bargnani is defending a lot better than Bosh especially in the post.

I'd like to also see Anthony Parker get a lot more chances to shoot the ball and run some plays for him.

Bosh is struggling more than Bargs, IMHO. He isn't himself.

What has Bargnani done wrong? I've been so impressed with his play so far. Obviously he hasn't reached his potential yet, but he's shown a lot of growth and genuinely seems to understand the different role that the Raptors expect him to fill. He's played solid defense on players like Garnett and Dwight Howard, he's picked up his rebounding, and except for a couple nights, he's been a threat on offense.

And this is coming from someone who was skeptical about Andrea being ready for the role at the beginning of the season. I think Nesterovic is a good player and he wouldn't be a problem in our starting lineup, but why mess with a good thing?

You can bank on Chris Bosh getting double teamed exclusively now.

Although I think Bargnani has been one of out best offensive and defensive players so far I actually wouldnt mind Bargnani coming off the bench as long as he is getting his minutes like high 20s or low 30s because last year Bargnani and Calderon were so dangerous coming off our bench thats what made our team last season so successful because of the great balance we had. I want Mitchell to try this out and see how it works, I really liked last season how Bargnani and Calderon used the high screen to either get the easy layup for Calderon or open 3 for Bargnani because opponents didnt know how to defend that it was a simple play that worked great for us. Anyways Bargnani has really surprised me this season as he has developed alot over the offseason adn has definitly matured....he no longer relys heavily on his jumper and doesnt fall for the head and shoulder fakes and only really goes up to bloack a shot when the opponent is actually up in the air.

    6th Man and MIP?
