Sampdoria ultras crashed their team's training session on Thursday morning, leading to a spirited exchange between players and fans..

In the aftermath of last night's 5-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan (pictured), Sampdoria fans had a right to be angry.

However, some decided to take matters into their own hands, invading and disrupting a morning training session to protest against recent poor results.

In fairness to the tifosi, no violence was reported. Instead, jeers and boos rang out from the gang of 20 or so Ultras, who had gained access to the Mugnaini training complex in Bogliasco, 12 kilometres down the cost from Genoa.

The players and coaching staff, distracted from their five-a-side training fixtures, confronted the group and, after an exchange of opinions, eventually settled on an accord: the ultras left after being assured that the blucerchiati would pick up all three points in Sardinia against Cagliari.

Samp have 11 points from a potential 30, while Cagliari hover above the relegation zone on 9. The Genovese club last won on October 21st, while the islanders need to look back to the end of September to find their last victory.

Last season, however, Caglairi failed to lose to the Luigi Ferraris men, drawing in Genoa and winning at the Sant'Elia.
