However with the Argentine stopper’s contract running out in 2009 his future at Inter is far from certain.
Chelsea star Carvalho is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in Europe, and was a target for Inter before he moved to Stamford Bridge in 2004.
The Portuguese international is rumoured to be unhappy following the recent departure of his mentor Jose Mourinho.
Thus it has been reported in the Italian press that Inter and Chelsea may be prepared to do a part-exchange deal involving the two centre-backs.
“A trade with Chelsea’s Carvalho? I think that these rumours are baseless,” said Samuel.
“I am fine at Inter and I would like to stay here forever.”
Samuel joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2005, having had previous spells with Roma, Boca Juniors and Newell’s Old Boys.
The 29-year-old has also played 53 times for his country, featuring in Argentina’s disastrous 2002 World cup campaign in Korea/Japan when they were knocked out in the first round.
