San Antonio Spurs
Jason Hart
Alex Garcia
Sean Marks

Keys to the Game:

San Antonio Spurs

[*]Keep Kirilenko and Ruffin off the glass
[*]Contain Raja Bell and Andrei Kirilenko
[*]Force Arroyo into tough, contested shots
[*]Don't turn the ball over
Utah Jazz

[*]Contain Tim Duncan
[*]Keep Charlie Ward and Hedo Turkoglu from getting open threes
[*]Force Nesterovic to leave the paint on both ends
[*]Clean the offensive glass and don't allow the Spurs second chance points
[*]Make Duncan beat you with free throws
Just a reminder...
There's no Matt Harpring here now, so the leading scorer is gone. Last time, Kirilenko was ineffective, so the Jazz's other role players must step up.

Crossover's Prediction
Okay, this time they're actually playing in Utah, where the Jazz are pretty strong. As usual, the Spurs need to feed to Tim Duncan, who will gather more attention this game, and make sure they drill those open, outside jumpers. Kirilenko has to score at least 20 and be effective on the glass if they want to have any sort of shot at winning this game, as well. Ginobili was clutch last time, and I see him setting up more tonight.

55-46, Spurs up with 3 minutes remaining in the third.

Duncan has 22 and 8, Ginobili has 12, Parker has 10, 3 and 4.

For the Jazz, the high scorers are Arroyo and Collins with 8 each.

Tim Duncan posterized AK47 in the nastiest fashion. Oh me oh my.

He did more than posterize him... He was the Jazz's leading scorer with 10 points and 5 boards. 3 blocks, though.

While, Ginobili and Parker combined for 25, posting 12 and 13, respectively, and Tim Duncan had a field day again with 31, 11 and 5 blocks.

85-63 in the second consecutive win over the Jazz.

Quote:

Tim Duncan has been called many things during his seven-year NBA career. Big Fundamental. Big Easy. MVP. Timmy. These days it would even be accurate to label him a poor free-throw shooter.

Utah guard DeShawn Stevenson added one more moniker to the list this past weekend: whiner. As Stevenson discovered Monday night — probably about the same time Duncan was skimming Andrei Kirilenko's spiked scalp with a dunk — that might not have been the wisest choice.

Duncan did to the Jazz on Monday what he did to them two nights earlier, the same thing he's done to them for the better part of six seasons. As Kirilenko said after the Spurs' 83-65 victory at the Delta Center: "He just destroyed our team today
