<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NEW YORK (Ticker) - The San Antonio Spurs are hoping they have uncovered another hidden gem. The Spurs on Thursday night selected guard George Hill with the No. 26 pick in the NBA draft. San Antonio has built a dynasty in the past decade with such global picks as France's Tony Parker and Argentina's Manu Ginobili, and continued that trend by going to the summit for Hill. The Summit League Player of the Year at IUPUI, the 6-2 Hill averaged 21.5 points as a redshirt junior, scoring over 20 points 16 times and posting seven 30-plus point games. A do-it-all guard, Hill led the team in rebounding with 6.8 per game and added 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range. A first-team all-conference pick as a sophomore, Hill appeared in just five games during his junior season after sustaining a broken foot.</div> Thoughts?
Very big reach, but it could work out. He's coming in to a very systematic type of play, and he'll be coached by one of the best. He'll also learn how to play dirty defense, flop and score a hot wife.
