Two days after their first victory over UCLA since 1940, the No. 17 San Diego State Aztecs avoided a major letdown when they faced Texas Southern. Jamaal Franklin had 18 points and 15 rebounds and Chase Tapley scored 16 points to lead the Aztecs to a 74-62 victory Monday night.
