It was a series the Detroit Tigers want to forget as soon as possible. After losing game one by a run, and then get blasted by Los Angeles Angels with Justin Verlander on the hill, it seemed like the Tigers were doomed from the start.

Anibal Sanchez has been pitching great. Over Sanchez’s last four starts, he is 1-2 with a 2.52 ERA. Looking to continue that trend, Sanchez hoped to keep the Tigers from getting swept.

Mike Trout lead off the first inning the same way he did the night before: with a solo home run. Then in the bottom of the second, Alberto Callaspo hit a two run shot to make it 3-0 Angels.
