<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Welcomed by 300 familiar foam "No. 1" fingers, Suns managing partner Robert Sarver shared a tenet of his corporate experience Wednesday.

"In business, people wait until the story's finished and then judge whether it's good or bad," Sarver told Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale board members, donors, employees and volunteers.

He would like fans and followers to adhere to that in the case of his Suns. That is not the way of pro fans or media, particularly after a tumultuous summer that saw Joe Johnson's odd departure and the addition of nine players.
Even Sarver and the basketball staff already have proclaimed the Suns to be better. Phoenix addressed defensive and rebounding deficiencies with Kurt Thomas, Raja Bell and Brian Grant while becoming deeper with versatile additions like James Jones, Boris Diaw and Eddie House.

Sarver said the staff expects the Suns can average three points more than last season, when they averaged a league-best 110.4 points. The last NBA team to average 113.4 points is also the last Suns team to reach the NBA Finals (in 1993). </div>

I for one believe it. HAving Grant or Thomas throwing the outlet pass won't slow down the team any and if Jones pans out we'll still be a threat from behind the arc. We'll score more inside for sure if Amare has developed his game to where he can pass out of the double and triple team. I'm interested to see just what kind of offensive contribution Bell will be expected to take. And then you get House scoring streaks. Should be more well rounded basketball but powerful nonetheless.

Of course. D'Antoni is still a fast break coach. The fast break generates best off of defensive rebounds and turnovers. The Suns are a better defensive team this year, so they'll be on the run more, and now Amare can run more since Grant and Thomas can rebound for the team. I don't think they'll make as many 3-pointers without Q or JJ, but they will be able to score more efficiently now, and will do better in half-court sets.

I don't think Amare really tried for the rebound. That guy just ran. I'm not his biggest fan. He needs to play better defense too. And yes he is 22 (or 23 by now) so I'll not complain too much. Anyhow the fast break might not look the same... Marion will be getting down the floor but it remains to be seen whether or not Bell, Jones, or the rest will be as good of finishers.

theyll be able to score more? u gotta be kidding me. keep in mind the source who said that comes from someone inside the suns organization too. dont get all hyped up yet. the suns lost two key offensive threats that spread out the defense n let them run.

Sure the Suns will score more...offense isnt an issue with them...however, they'll have to be more effective in the halfcourt now that they dont have the same 3-point snipers...their defense is still poor...the suns will still win 50-55 games but i dont think they'll make it too far in the playoffs...
