#NYR announce Kravtsov and Leschyshyn not dressed for "roster management reasons" again. @ByScottPowers From what I’m hearing, Patrick Kane is only considering the Rangers. There are other teams interested in him, but they don’t appeal to him as of now.
The plus is if you look at the standings, the Rangers are just about locked into playing the Devs in round 1. Highly unlikely either catches the Canes, and the Rangers have a big cushion over the 4th place team in their division. You want to get going and be playing your best hockey into the playoffs, but if they have another tough few games with these trade rumors out there, it won't be the end of the world. In addition, 3 of their next 4 games, including today, are against non-playoff teams. So you have to think they should go 2-2 worst case. Then the trade DL comes and away we go hopefully.
Kravtsov, Jones and a 2nd is a pretty solid deal for Chicago if that's what it ends up being. I don't think Dallas or Vegas would be willing to give up a 1st.
Doesn't really matter what any other team would give up - Kane has a full NTC and will only waive it to be a Ranger. Hawks trade with NYR for something, or get nothing.
Two things do concern me with the Rangers I will say: 1. The PK. It has to be better if you want to make a long playoff run. I think we have the players to do it, but it needs to improve. 2. With some of the moves we have made, we've become a little easier to play against. I hope that doesn't bite us in the playoffs where teams say just pound on the Rangers and they will struggle. We got past that, but now it concerns me a bit again with Kane coming also.
They are not missing the playoffs, and will finish 3rd in the Met, but the point is valid in that they need to wake up and start playing again. The Oilers and Flames games they were up and down and inconsistent. The Jets game they played well, and their goalie won it for them. The Wings game and today they have been terrible, cannot sugar coat that. These past two games have been crap, and they need to get their act together. Kings won't be easy tomorrow, but then Sens and Flyers they should hopefully win those games to right the ship - if they don't right against it the Kings tomorrow.
Yep Ive been saying it's concerning the way they play with an addition of tar. Now just heard what they got for Krav what a fucking joke.
He wont be a star but he could turn into a solid two-way player. You'll see. You also hated on buch and he turned into a top six player.
They got a 7th rounder and a former 3rd round LW named Will Blackwood. I figured he would be part of the Kane trade but maybe they need the cap space right now or the Hawks didn't want him.
Dear lord, that is a horrible return for Kravtsov. I truly thought his value was much better than that, to the point he could be a considerable piece in a Kane trade. What a waste of a top 10 pick.
