Glad you attached a "but". I hope the Yanks do win but, baseball is the most unpredictable of all the major team sports because one team can't out-physical the other team, can't literally manhandle or "out-work" the other team like they do in football/basketball/hockey, you can't just out run or out jump the other guys. Ah, we already knew this. What I really mean is ----> don't jinx them, this is as "hot" as they've been, current ✴four game win streak. Let's just (imo) creep along and let everyone write us off, try to pull within 5.5 games of first place today and hopefully begin to make some kind of move in the right direction. oops! I hope I haven't jinxed them. Not half bad, I'll just fall back on my "second team" if needed. Go Yanks! ✴my bad, THREE game win streak
Yanks have to find a spot somewhere for this kid - I know there doesn't seem to be any room for him on the 25 roster but he has hit whenever he's been given the chance. He has a live bat- enough already, put the kid on the roster- the assholes should've ALREADY taken a "look" at him playing first base at AAA if only to possibly open up more spots and opportunies for him - and the Yanks knew from early on Bird was gone for the year. He's played 3b and outfield (RF) AAA.
Got in late, did a score check just in time to see Tex go down again. Old Porter Wagoner tune, I'll go down swinging, What a swinging way to go.
Last place Blue Jays.....and to think of all those BIG MOVES they made at last year's trade deadline. We'll soon find out a lot more about this Yankee team - starting Tues 5/24 they begin a 20 day 20 game stretch starting with 3 games vs Toronto then a 10 G road trip through TB, Tor, Balt with a makeup game @Det mixed in.
The Sox would. And have Arod keep him company. As for CC, maybe playing for pride of friends and family works, obviously the storied franchise of the Yankees isn't motivating enough. Surely we can spare a 100 of the empty seats at his home starts.
They are 12-6 WITHOUT A-Roid, The kids have been playing great, & Beltran has been super at the DH. I really hope his return doesn't screw up the momentum that this club has been showing of late.
Upcoming series with the AL East Teams the Yankees will need to win each series to stay relevant. Right now they've gotten some mileage out of the chosen starters, can that be sustained?
