just wanted to post it in here. I was reading a debate regarding trades of Blake and Outlaw for Camby. Some in the forum think Clippers would ask for more, some Blazer fans thinks this is way too much for an injury prone center, forward. I personally think it's not a bad idea, IMO. Camby is a shot blocker, plus it frees up some burn for Bayless and gives us another "insurance policy" at center and PF. Regardless, I doubt it would ever happen, but I wanted to read what this forum thinks of it.

What's the point for the Clippers? They have not only a good C, but one on an expiring contract, which is going to be very valuable in this time. Both individually have good value, solid C and expiring contract. Adding them together increases his value to where, there is absolutely no reason fo rthem to give him away to us for mroe expirings. That's terri8ble for the Clippers. Regardless of whether some think it's too much for us to give up, it's not good at all for them.

I can see both sides. But I don't think Travis is coming back this year, and I do think that Bayless/Rudy/Miller can cover Blake's absence at the PG spot. If we get some quality play out of the currently-injured Camby, maybe?

I don't know honestly. I think Camby could be a plus, and he's better suited to accept a "back up" role on this team once everyone is healthy. Who knows. Just picking the forum's brain.

Count me among those who say, "no, thanks."

Not a big fan of Camby the person, plus his lug nuts are starting to come loose.

1 Camby doesn't want to be traded
2 Clips aren't going to give him away...they know he has a lot of value, both as an expiring contract and as a quality big
3 Dunleavy hasn't had a chance to see how Kamaan, Griffin, and Camby play together.....and he wants to. They think this could be a very good front line combo

Every player is obtainable. But I just don't think the Clips are going to trade Camby unless someone offers them the kitchen sink.
