Preseason opens Oct. 10 <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Even though it's only the preseason, the Utah Jazz will get an early dose of what their regular season will be like starting Oct. 10. That's what Jazz officials wanted all along. The Jazz announced Thursday their 2006 preseason schedule, which includes two home games and six road games. "I think we try to use the preseason as a measuring point for the guys as far as conditioning goes, as far as playing games goes," Jazz vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor said, noting that the Jazz will play 18 back-to-back games in the regular season. The Jazz open the preseason against the Los Angeles Lakers at the SaveMart Center in Fresno, Calif. They will play two more road games, at Indiana and Detroit, before meeting Portland at the Delta Center on Oct. 19. </div> Preseason
