FB Reagan Mauia beat out veteran Cory Schleshenger to become the Dolphins starting FB....Schleshenger was released today....Mauia came to Hawaii as a 370lb DT, but Hawaii coaches asked him to drop 100lbs and play FB, so he did....at 6' 270lbs, hes about as ripped as anyone I have ever seen....
[IMG]

Here is his famous Youtube clip....say what you will about the ease in which Drywall is destroyable, but thats a big man....

    He did go in head first.

    Still, I couldn't give two shits about how he runs through drywall, I wanna know how he runs on third and inches.

    I saw him convert every short yardage carry he had during the preseason into a 1st down....but, it was only like 4 of them

    I read that Mauia outperformed Cory S in every aspect of the FB's role; blocking; short yardage TB, & pass catching. Additionally, RM had better chemistry w/ Ronnie.

    I am stoked about the practice squad especially Marquay Love. He was an UDFA DT from Houston and converted to OG a week into camp. I also heard good things about (OT) Julius Wilson & (S) Tuff Harris.

    Picking up 2 OL who were cut; Lekkerkerker by San Diego and Murczkowksi by New England will IMO help the OL depth alot.

    Per finheaven.com;
QUOTE

This is especially good news for Love, who was converted from defensive tackle during training camp. Cameron and offensive line coach Hudson Houck have had success with such projects in the past. They converted Chargers guard Kris Dielman from defensive tackle to guard, where he has become an All-Pro. Dielman's metamorphosis began on the practice squad in 2003. He became a starter two years later, and the rest is history.
