Scolari’s First Impressions <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The club will shortly embark on a pre-season tour which will take them to China and Russia, but before they departed Scolari spoke to the club’s official website about his new job and what he had seen so far. Room For Improvement Discussing the fitness of the players, Scolari admitted things were looking good but that there was room for improvement. He admitted: “We have all the players in good condition but not the best condition.” As well as improving fitness, the new manager has also had to contend with heavy speculation over the future of some of his players. Both Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba have been linked with moves to the continent and Claude Makelele looks set to join PSG. With Deco having joined Scolari at Stamford Bridge and with Kaka and Robinho also linked with moves to West London, it is clear that the Premier League may see a very different style of play from Chelsea next season. This is something Scolari himself acknowledged, he said: “Not ready, but starting to build a new team and a new philosophy.” Just The Beginning Whilst the new manager clearly has some new ideas which will no doubt be warmly welcomed by owner Roman Abramovich, he did admit that he the pre-season games were vital to assess his new squad. Scolari admitted: “This is just the beginning, and I expect after these five games that I will have a general idea about all the players and the system.” Asked about the differences between pre-season in Brazil and England the new Chelsea boss revealed there wasn’t too much difference, although the schedule was a little heavier in the UK. He said: “It is not too different because in Brazil they have two weeks maximum to train, and after we have two games. Here now is the same, we have two weeks for training and we travel to China to play three games, and then to Russia for two games.” However, the Brazilian was quick to acknowledge one vital difference. He concluded: “The difference is Chelsea gives the best conditions for the players and coaches to train hard, because we have the best facilities.”</div>
Well I think it will take a whhile for the team to click into gear, which will mean everyone else (Man utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs?) will have a advantage over them. But once they do they will be hard to beat.

They'll be in the top 5 for sure. Now it will depend on the players on how high on the ranking they go.

At the moment I say its up to Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool and maybe the Spurs to some extent.
