Los Angeles Dodgers left fielder Scott Van Slyke left Wednesday night's 3-1 win over Arizona with what the team called a mild right ankle sprain, and he later blamed the Diamondbacks' grass for the injury.

"They've got bad grass here," he said.

Van Slyke said the ground gave way beneath his ankle as he planted to throw. Television replays showed that Van Slyke's ankle bent to almost a 45-degree ankle, but he was able to walk off the field.
