Scottie Pippen is without a doubt one of the best SF's of all-time. Unfortunately a single paragraph isn't the slight bit of words to describe Scottie Pippen's contribution not only to the Chicago Bulls but the impact he had in the game of basketball. He was MJ?s partner in crime, this is probably why he does not get the credit he deserves.

Scottie, could score from the perimeter and inside, transformed the term ?point-forward,? could pass, rebound, block shot shots, and was one of the best defensive players ever.
I?ve never seen a better defensive performance than Pippen?s on Magic in the 91 Finals!
That was sublime, what a performance by Michael, Pippen, and The Bulls!

Everyone talks about Bird and Dr. J but Pippen won more rings than them, and Pippen was an overall better player than both. Pippen was definitely a better defender and more athletic, so then why doesn?t he get the recognition he deserves?

those career highlights are amazing and Scottie Pippen is a legend. He barely gets any credit for all those bulls championships, but he was a major part of it.

Defenitley without a doubt. He was always behind Jordan and Jordan got most of the credit but Pippen was very consistent and without him the Bulls wouldn't have gotten the championships.

I completely agree that Pipen is a legend. I dont even think the Bulls what have been what they were without that of Pippen.

Real Pippen was born after MJ retired. Didn't he lead his team to playoffs still? Teams feared Pippen as well cuz he can knock 3s, post up, dunk on shot blockers, play point guard, beat you on rebounds, this guy could do everything. MJ, as we all know, is the greatest ever to play this game but I don't think he coulda won so many rings by himself.

I don't know if he's as good as Dr. J or Bird, but he is still a legend. Those guys did a lot mroe for the game, not that Pippen hasn't just not as much.

Pippen is without a doubt in my mind a legend. Like most of you said, he still led the Bulls to the playoffs even when Jordan retired. He played the role of sidekick perfectly. He also had his own moments as well. Definitly a legend.

Okay, what makes Dr. J and Bird better than Pippen?

what makes Kobe better than Pippen (I can understand, people choosing Kobe over Pippen) but Bird and Dr. J over Pippen?

Pippen is underrated IMO, I think he was as good if not better than Dr. J or one Larry Legend...

    Your thoughts...

No doubt it my mind, Scottie Pippen is a legend. He IMO earned the name as "Best Second Hand Player" in NBA history.

Scottie didn't do what those guys did for the game. Bird is probably the best shooter of all time, and Dr. J revolutionized the slam dunk. I'm not saying that he isn't a legend but he just didn't do enough for the game like those two guys.

Yeah but Scottie came after them..

Yeah, Dr. J could dunk from the free throw line, but was he a better overall player than the Pip? Bird could shoot but could he play man to man defense like the Pip?

    different players do different things

    PPG: DR J
    APG: Scottie
    RPG:DR J
    BPG: Dr J

all i nall I think Dr. J was better just look at the stats.

Dr. J was defenitly better in certain areas but the point is that Scottie is still a legend.

Like everyone says Pippen was MJ sidekick. He got less credit than deserved. MJ was in my opinion the greatest player and got six rings but i dont think he could of done it alone. Pippen helped and should be a legend

Scottie is like John Stockton. They were sidekicks to the stars, Jordan and Malone. W/o their sidekicks, Malone and Jordan wouldn't have been so great. They definatly deserve more credit then they get.

I've seen Dr. J and Bird play, they were both greats; true legends of this game!

However, I have not seen a better "partner in crime" than Scottie Pippen. Kobe was a great sidekick and all but he was too selfish, on the other hand...Pip knew his role and he never tried to overcome Jordan (as Kobe tried to do with Shaq).

Scottie Pippen is a legend IMO and he ranks among the very best!
