After five years away from Chicago, Pippen became a teammate of Rose by signing with the Bulls on July 19. The 6-foot-7 forward has spent the past four years with Portland. Among the players scheduled to join Pippen and Rose on Sunday are Juwan Howard, Paul Pierce, Shawn Marion, Carmelo Anthony, Quentin Richardson, Gilbert Arenas, Darius Miles and Chauncey Billups, along with current Bulls Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry, Jamal Crawford and Eddie Robinson. Tipoff is planned for 3 p.m., and the game will feature a halftime performance by R&B singer Ashanti. Rose grew up in Detroit rooting for the Pistons, but he swears that Pippen was always one of his favorite players. In 1998, Rose's Indiana Pacers lost a seven-game series to the Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals as Pippen and Michael Jordan went on to win their sixth NBA title. Now at age 37, Pippen will return to Chicago hoping to show the Bulls' young players how to become a championship team. Rose, 30, has been the Bulls' leading scorer since arriving in a trade from Indiana in February 2002. It is not clear whether Rose and Pippen will play on the same team Sunday, but this could be the first chance to see how well the two players can coexist on the court. </div> Yay.
This game is going to be cool. I was at Jalen's all star game last year and it was well worth it. The fact that Scottie will be playing in this game will make it all the better. Last year I had tickets for the 200 level balcony, this year I have floor tickets. Im hoping to get pictures with some of the players, if I am successful I will post the pics.
Game was ok..... some exciting plays, crawford was amazing....... but overall it was a jip..... pippen was a no show and only about 10 players actually played in the game, all the reserves that were announced barely got any playing time. I did manage to get pictures with dale davis, ice cube, and q-rich. I also got pictures of jamal crawford and jalen rose outside the UC in their hummer. ill try and post the pics soon.
