<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The other note of interest here is that I was told Williams was originally part of the Atlanta deal. The Kings would have received Salim Stoudamire (expiring contract for $783,000) in return and Williams would've been in a better setting, except for one hitch. Because he had signed a one-year deal for the minimum, he had the same right to block a trade that Devean George has. And because of the way that stipulation blocked the Dallas-New Jersey deal for Jason Kidd, there was fear of a repeat occurence in this trade. Eventually, Williams and Stoudamire were removed from the table because of it.</div> it seems now that some of these scrubs/throw-in have the power to block to trade, which could stop blockbuster deals from happening. They need to get rid of this rule immediatly!!!!! Scrubs shouldn't have any say in on anything, they're lucky they're even on the roster. Justin Williams got waived BTW LOL!!!!!!
Haha, wow. That's so lame. IMO that's good on Atlanta's part. For one thing, Stoudamire's still a pretty damn good player. If he got minutes, he could do so much more than Williams ever would. For another thing, even if he didn't get minutes, I'd like to bet Atlanta could get more for him than Justin Williams.
