"No special-teams heroics this week. No game-changing interceptions or opponent's implosion. Nothing to save Seattle's offense from itself Sunday in St. Louis whether it was the questionable first-half calls that resulted in two turnovers on downs or the second-half performance that could only be described as putrid. The Seahawks lost 20-3 at the Edward Jones Dome, ending Seattle's 10-game winning streak over St. Louis with a discernible dud of a performance. Seattle's offense didn't score a touchdown, didn't even cross midfield in the second half. On third-quarter play didn't decide the game so much as it summarized it. The Seahawks already trailed 17-3 when they faced a third-and-1 at their own 13 in what turned out to be the final play of the third quarter. Needing 1 yard, Justin Forsett was tackled for a loss of 2 as the Rams' Fred Robbins shed Chris Spencer's attempt at a block. That one play neatly summarized Sunday's game from the strength of St. Louis' defensive line to Seattle's pronounced second-half struggle to move the ball to the fact that after a September that constituted a major step forward for the Seahawks, they took a discernable step backward in St. Louis. The Rams ended a 10-game losing streak to Seattle, the Seahawks' longest winning streak against any single opponent in franchise history. Rookie Russell Okung started at left tackle after missing the first three games of the season because of a high ankle sprain. He was limping noticeably by the end of the first quarter and left the game midway through the period. Tyler Polumbus, who started at right tackle in place of Sean Locklear, moved back to left tackle after Okung's departure. Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was sacked only twice in the first three quarters, but that doesn't adequately summarize the pressure he was under. Three of his passes were tipped at the line of scrimmage, one of those intercepted. The Rams' James Hall forced a fourth-quarter fumbleofHasselbeckthat was recovered by St. Louis."
