Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll enhanced the competition at the quarterback position Tuesday by signing former Buffalo Bills quarterback J.P. Losman to a one-year, $630,000 contract. Agent Gary Wichard confirmed the deal in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Tuesday night. Losman is being brought in to be the possible third quarterback behind Three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst. Losman's deal could lead to the release of third-string quarterback Mike Teel. The Seahawks already released Mike Reilly, a former Central Washington quarterback just recently picked up on waivers from the St. Louis Rams. Hasselbeck is 34 and entering the final season of his contract. He threw a career-high 17 interceptions last season while getting battered for the second consecutive year. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5199779
