    Key Matchups

Crawford vs Arenas- Arenas showed last season that he is a rising star in the league. He will need to be at his best with Stackhouse out. Crawford came alive the last few months of the season. But he will have to show he can pick up where he left off. Chicago will need him to play well to win. This is perhaps the biggest matchup.

Jarvis Hayes vs experience- How will Hayes respond to his first game? Hayes will have to show that he can knock down the outside shots, and play good defense against the battle tested Scottie Pippen.

    Other Notes

Kwame usually has good games against the Bulls. Look for tonite to be no different. I expect to see him out early, looking for the ball in the post. Look for the Wizards to go inside to him to get him confident in himself.

On the flip side, watch out for either Fizer or Marshall. One of these two usually end up torching the Wizards when both teams go to the bench.

The scrub factor- Last season, every game Chicago played, it seemed like a scrub came out of nowhere to light the Bulls up. But will it continue? Chicago imprioved upon their perimeter defense. So will this come to an end?

Curry needs to be fed the ball, early and often. Haywood has shown a tendancy to get in foul trouble for some mental mistakes. Chicago has a great advantage if they can get Haywoods off the bench, and Washington has to go to Jahidi White.

Look for Chicago to squeek this one out, 96-89.

I'll go with the bulls on this one too. I think that Curry will be looking to start the season strong. I also think that Kwame will have a big game.

I listened to some of the game on the radio... WOW this was this disappointing. Who would have thought Etan Thomas would be able to rebound like that?! Chicago sports are officially depressing, at least until the Bulls play on Friday.

So I was wrong... Washington won... and Kwame only had a decent game.

like Slamduncan I only caught some of the game on the radio....

uhmm, they did play in the preseason right? To work on defense and how to shoot the ball? I'm confused.
Why did Jalen Rose start and play 32 min on top of that?
no, no, no. From what I hear Cartwright called a bad game also.

Eddy should have ran circles around Haywood. I hope it doesnt take him another 4 months to realize he has to play physical...

And pull up your damn shorts. You aren't in highschool, you've been in the league 3 years now. IF you don't want to be called a baby, PULL UP YOUR SHORTS.

    saw it on a replay.

And on the radio, Curry dived for a rebound, and his shorts came off and the annoucers were laughing and my g/f and I were cracking up in the car.

and on the postgame show on am1000 they were talking about Curry's shorts constantly falling down...

it's like WTF, knock it off.

How the Bulls can lose at home to the Wizards by 25 who are without their best player in Jerry Stackhouse..I still can't work out

They don't seem ready to make a playoff run to me..

Damn, I missed that part. The best part of the game was the radio commentary. [IMG]
