http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview06/ne...tory?id=2568742 Most of ESPN's experts are picking the Colts to go all the way this year... Couple of them picked the Seahawks, a couple of them picked the Panthers and I think one guy even picked the Bengals. Two experts actually picked the Lions to win the NFC North!
Look at that....So I guess Im not the only one that thiks the Lions will do well this year. Where are all those Packer fans that said I must be a secret Detroit fan because I thought they would make the playoffs?
I have the Colts & Panthers playing Miami in Feb. I would love to see the "home team" play in the Super Bowl of which there is a slim possibility Of course, last year, I thought it would be the Steelers and Panthers - what do I know? LOL
Dolphins have a legitimate shot, They have a very easy schedule so they should definitely make the playoffs. Then, once you are in it is a matter of playing your best football at the end of the year , not every team will be peaking at the same time. I am not sold on the Colts this year. They are coming off a hugely dissapointing playoff appearance and I think they will miss edge more than they would like to admit.
The recent Sporting News (NFL Preview issue) has 5 "experts" picking the Pats to win the division and 5 picking the phins. To me, thats all that mattered. All the other guesses were just that.
The fact that ESPN continually leaves the Steelers out of any consideration for top dog just proves my theory that the cast and channel don't really care for Pittsburgh. The bias is fine with me. I always like being more of an underdog anyway.

Underappreciated and perhaps disrespected would be more accurate. ESPN has a stong and obvious bias towards the north part of the Atlantic seaboard and whoever may be flavor of the month i.e Niners until their fall from grace & the Rams in late 90's & early this decade. Any phins fan will tell you tell you that ESPN doesn't like the phins but then look at who the phins divisional rivals are.
You're right... disrespected and underappreciated are both better choices. Underdog would be an impossibility.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Look at that....So I guess Im not the only one that thiks the Lions will do well this year.</div> Yeah, ESPN employs a couple of bozos who are just as crazy as you are! How about that?

That way when the miracle of events happens so they win division they can say "I am genius I picked em" It is same thing with picking cards or browns. You are jsut hoping to get lucky so you can pat yourself on back

This year I do think they will be competitive, I think Kitna has a decent enough year to take them to the playoffs.

The people who picked lions also made insightful picks like Vick - MVP LMAO Trotter - DPOY ROFL Yep, those are experts LOL

Please forgive me for rebuffing your spin with reality. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview06/ne...tory?id=2568742
I was watching ESPN News just yesterday & they had Eric Allen & Qadry Ismail both predicting Miami w/o batting an eye. Don't start playing the disrespect card with me.

I pick the dolphins to win division.

Don't start playing the disrespect card with me.</div> Okay, that's 10-4. I'm still not seeing trendy. Of course, I didn't take the new Patriots math in school. For those who don't know what I'm giving Bakes a hard time about, here are two math rules that they must be teaching Patriots fans. Patriots Math Rule #1 - Two losses to the same football team equals the Patriots beating themselves. This rule is self-evident as every Patriot fan knows that the Patriots are clearly the better team despite any number of losses the Patriots might suffer. Patriots Math Rule #2 - Any number of opinions that suggest the Patriots shouldn't win the Super Bowl in any given year equals a trend. This rule is also self-evident as all Patriot fans know that the Patriots are God's chosen team. Any suggestion otherwise is not only disrespect, but blasphemy. What I find truly disrespectful is when I hear the progress the Dolphins have made since hiring Saban reduced trendy. I realize that you hate the notion of someone stealing your (actually Rodney Harrison's) disrespect schtick, the truth is that the entire NFL could play that card with the Patriots because I can't think of a group of fans that seem to feel so entitled to respect, but shows so little respect to other teams and their accomplishments. I could go into the Patriots forum and pick up threads where I have given my congrats after the Patriots have beaten the Dolphins (and one where you won 20 straight games), can you guys say the same? The Dolphins have split games with the Patriots the last couple of years, but I'm sure that was just because the Patriots didn't care and weren't trying to win.
exactly! what accomplishments? we did throw that last game away. everyone w/o aqua & orange tinted glasses knows this. by predicting a split between the 2 in the regular season I've given you all the respect you deserve.
