Season Record Predictions Warriors will be 39-43 for this season. The lowest I think will be 32 if nobody plays like they don't care anymore the last 10 games. All in all would have been better if injuries hadn't happened early in the season and if there was better coaching in close games. I think taking out no-foul trouble Dampier in the 4th just pretty much kills all rebounding the warriors have to gain crucial posessions. Why were the warriors successful the first 3 quarters, try rebounding! And Calbert Cheaney? He's no lock down defender, I'd rather send in Pietrus who has had some good plays in his short minutes with steals and important putbacks. Anyway I'm continuing my rant when I should be working on sleeping.
I hope they break the 40 win barrier this year. Then next year break .500 and hopefully make the playoffs.
We would have been if the warriors hadn't lost so many key players like Troy Murphy, Nick Van Exel, Foyle, Dampier, Claxton, and Dunleavy (after he sprained his ankle), and we could have used Eschmeyer (he's a good rebounder I heard, average defense, no scoring) And then Pietrus got hurt and he was being used in the beginning of the season. And then Avery Johnson got taken out and then we had no point guards left. Only thing we had left was a danged shooting guard J.R. Bremer on a 10 day contract and Mike Dunleavy Jr. who is a forward. Then we had to use Jason Richardson and Calbert Cheaney to take turns at the point.
I was listening to Bob Fitzgerald on the Rod Brooks show yesterday and he was saying that the Nuggets and Grizz are no better than the Warriors but when you lose as many players to injury as the Warriors did you are going to suffer with more losses. He believes we could have made the playoffs easily with a healthy team. I agree.
I wonder if the Warriors will get some extra mysterious ping pong balls for the lottery since they beat the Kings to set up a very interesting first round playoff. The Warriors are a big part of why the Kings will face the Mavs and the Lakers will face the Rockets, and both should get a lot of hype and good ratings. Yao vs. Shaq and the scoring machines facing eachother in the first round. Maybe the Warriors will get a few thanks from the league by adding a couple "mysterious" Warrior ping pong balls into the lottery. Probably not, but you never know how fixed that lottery is though. However it was fun to talk Warriors basketball here. And i am hoping that the Warriors management can build off what they did this year, instead of changing everything up again. Thanks custodianrules2 for getting me to join here from the ESPN message boards. It was fun.

37 wins. I am very impressed. Even though Rowell said we "underachieved". I hope that guy is gone along with St Jean next year, and I hope that Mussleman gets to play out his contract. I also hope that we can bring in some good players next year. I hope Damp returns for the right price, but not as long of a contract. Go Warriors. Good year. Even better when you consider the injuries. This is the most excited I have been about the next year as I have ever been. Last year all I could think was how I hope we improved next year. Next year I will expect the playoffs, not just hope...
