Without accusing somebody of being a fair-weather fan -- Given the lack of direction by the front office combined with all the injuries would you look down on a fan who canceled their season tickets and would rather watch them on TV? --Brandon Roy OUT --Greg Oden OUT A very unbalanced roster with a very weak frontcourt, it could get ugly if Paul Allen doesn't make a move and infuse some talent here. It's been 7-months since Cho was fired and they are no closer to hiring a GM. Lateral roster moves and injuries have taken the wind out of a lot of peoples sails.
If it were at all financially doable,I would still have mine. For me, it has always been the name on the front, and not the back. I stuck it out through the Jail Blazers, and this is just a minor setback.
This is not LA - we're not frontrunners. It's not as is if we won't still be fielding a good product - it's just not going to be as good as we once hoped. There are a number of fans out there who would happily have our roster compared to what their teams currently have.
For the hardcore fans I'm sure most will stick with it, but this team didn't start filling seats up until around the time Oden was drafted. I suppose it's possible people will stick with it, but that's probably not realistic. Personally, I've already decided not to re-up my league pass and I won't be spending money on the NBA because I still haven't "forgiven" all parties for the way the lockout was handled.
i heard from my buddy today that the group i used to split tickets with has disbanded. part because people have moved away, part because some aren't interested in the nba anymore and part because of the news of the day and the blazers seemingly making it more difficult to split season tickets with the card system. i don't look down on them but it is amazing how far this franchise has fallen in four years. being 2,000+ miles away i don't get the constant rainbows and sunshine that this team tries to spin on what appears to be a crumbling franchise. while we have the makings of a 6-8 seed, all hope of a championship is lost and seems like years before it will ever be renewed again.
