I think Lakers by at least 5 with Kobe and Shaq leading the way scoring at least 25 apiece. But, yea, like I said in the Lakers forum, the Sonics are too small. They have no one who can guard Shaq and no who can play against him on offense. They're gonna really have to rely on they're shooters to knock down the jump shots or else they could be in big trouble.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting the MDE:</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers win by 4-7 points as Kobe shows Ray Allen who is boss.</div> Hard to make a case for Kobe being boss when he plays Ray Allen, either way it will be in interesting match-up. I have a feeling Shaq will have a bigger impact on the outcome of the game than Kobe will, which means guys like Rashard, Radman and Flip HAVE to step up.
Close again, but no cigar as the Kobe-less Lakers won, 99-91. Despite losing Bryant to a shoulder injury at the start of the game, Shaquille O'Neal and Los Angeles were able to hold off the Sonics, who finish 1-3 on their Western roadtrip. Ron Murray continuted his form revival, with 28 points, five rebounds and six assists. Ray Allen had 19, eight and six, while Rashard Lewis posted 17 points and 10 rebounds. Vitaly Potapenko had 14 and seven. For the Lakers, O'Neal dominated to the tune of 32 points, on efficient 10-16 shooting, and 12-18 from the line. Gary Payton had 16 points and seven assists against his old team, while Kareem Rush had 11. Despite getting off to a slow start, Seattle fought back in the third, but just ran out of gas at the end. They outrebounded the Lakers, had more assists and less turnovers, but shoot worse from the field and sent LA to the line 34 times, while only getting there on 19 occasions themselves. <font size="1">Box Score courtesy of ESPN.</font> Next Game: vs Pistons, Sunday March 7th
