Notes: Miami leads the season 1-0 after a 105-98 victory in Seattle on November 18. The is rookie sensation Dwyane wade's third game back from in jury, after helping the Heat defeat Orlando but drop a game to New Orleans. Miami gave up 42 freethrow attempts to the Hornets, with Baron Davis, Jamaal Magloire and David Weseley all attempting at least 10 each. Seattle come in off a home loss to Minnesota. Ray Allen had 37 points, but didn't play in the first match-up of these teams this season due to his ankle injury. The Sonics welcomed back Brent Barry against the Timberwolves, who looked rusty after a six week lay off with a broken finger. Seattle went 4-16 in that time. Miami are fighting Boston currently for the final playoff seed in the East, while the Sonics are out of playoff reckoning, despite having an almost identical record to the Heat. The latest: Vitaly Potapenko showed up to training extremely late, and the punishment is yet to be decided upon by McMillan. Jerome James will likely start in place of Pot.
blagh...I hope that Jerome James will at least do half of what Potapenko can do...just not the sloppy side of himself, hopefully...
The Heat look like a team that we may be able to beat, Sonics cant continue the horrid funk they've been in. They need to win this for morale purposes if nothing else... Sonics by 11.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Go Sonics!</div> Haha, I know why you want the Sonics to win, I've got a similar reason. I really hope the Sonics win this one, this would weaken the Heat's chances at making the playoffs and somewhat give the Raptors relief.
the game was embarassing....well except the second half....but still they had A LOT of miscues that lead them to losing the game...I'm disappointed in this club.... :thumbsdow doesn't mean I'm going to turn on them or anything, but just like, I've given hope on making playoffs anytime soon (like at least for 2 more years....lol)...yeah, post your thoughts on the crappy half-played game.
Give me a T! Give me an O! Give me a P! Give me a T! Give me an E! Give me an N! Give me a P! Give me an I! Give me a C! Give me a K! What's that spell?? TOP TEN PICK! Another woeful game by Seattle. No intensity in the first half, only eight points in the first period and just generally lack lustre play. Ray got in early foul trouble, no one picked up the slack, and Haslem killed us off the bench. Ray, Lewis and Flip Murray had 16 apiece, Jerome James had nine and nine. Once more, Seattle took the lead late on but were outscored in the final few minutes of the game, this time 13-4 after being up 80-79. <font size="1">Box Score courtesy of NBA.com.</font> Next Game: @ Magic, Saturday March 13th
