Tracy McGrady had 62 points in a win against Washington, while Ray Allen had 37 in a loss to the Timberwolves recently. The Magic endured a 1-19 start to the season and the firing of Doc Rivers, while Seattle have gone 4-18 over their last 22 games. Former Magic GM Peter Gabriel was recently fired from that post, although he still holds a position at the franchise. Vitaly Potapenko skipped practice and was subsequently sat out of the Miami game. It is unlikely that he will start in this one. Post your thoughts, comments and predictions for the game here. NBA team logos courtesy of NBA.com
I haven't watched Magics of late...but hopefully Sonics won't struggle in the first half like they did at the Heats...if they win this one, then maybe they can get out of this slump...Sonics by 7.
Pretty much what I said about the Heat game... Sonics should win this to regain some pride. Orlando actually has a frontcourt that we can match up with and maybe even win the post battle. Losing to Orlando would be a new low... Sonics by 5.
I think the Sonics can win this, but they need everyone to play, Tmac has been huge lately...I think the Sonics come to play and win by 4
Brent Barry is on fire! He has 22pts in 21 minutes of playing time.He is 8 for 9 from the field including 5 3pointers.He also has 6 assist.Ray is also playing great but Rashard is struggling a bit.So is T-mac, he is 8 for 23 but has 27pts. Lue is playing well tonight.
we won by 14 pts...haha...my bro was like, wipe that smile off your face, Sonics was against Magics (and you know they're not their best this year)...and I said yes, I know...I'd say more, but I'm not patient enough to write all the stuff out...
Seattle 115 Orlando 101 Brent Barry and Ray Allen combined to out point the lone hand of Tracy McGrady, as the Sonics stopped a five game losing streak with a 14 point win in Orlando, 115-101. While McGrady had 40 points on 12-29 shooting, Allen and Barry combined for 51 points on 20/31 shooting (10-14 from downtown), eight rebounds, five steals, 16 assists and only two turnovers to show fans just what they've been missing in Barry's absence. Barry went 9-10 from the field for his 25 points, including a perfect 6-6 from behind the arc, and added 10 assists in his first start since returning from a broken finger. Seattle broke the game open in the second quarter, stretching the lead out to 39-31 midway through, and did not relinquish the lead from there on after. The lead ballooned out to 14 in the last period, while the Magic got it back to eight with four minutes to go. However, the Sonics finished the game on a 12-6 run to close it out convincingly, and move to 1-1 on their five game roadtrip. The Sonics relied on a hot hand all the way through , shooting 56% from the field and nailing 14-28 from the land of milk and honey. Seattle also held a commanding advantage of 50-22 points in the paint, a true reflection of some surprisingly good interior defense that kept the Magic shooting outside jumpers. 30 assists to 11 again showed the Sonics' dominance, as they played as a team beautifully without having to rely on a single player, as Orlando seemed to do for much of the second half. Vladimir Radmanovic provided a big lift off the bench, with 21 points and some key baskets down the stretch. Vitaly Potapenko, Rashard Lewis and Antonio Daniels added a dozen each, with Daniels also adding five assists. Box Score courtesy of NBA.com. Next Game: @ Hawks, Tuesday 16th March

"Five game losing streak you say? Well I'll prescribe you a match-up with Orlando, that should get you back on track."
Hey, a win is a win. At least the Sonics have a little bit of momentum now. A little can carry a long way.

That game was summed up by a few minutes involving Brent Barry and Tyronn Lue in the second quarter. Lue would go up and hit a shot, Barry would go back down and hit one for himself. This went on for a few possessions, without even a small danger of someone playing some defense.
