New aquisition Rasheed Wallace has a good track record against Seattle, and has proved to be a shrewd investment by Detroit this season. Richard Hamilton is questionable with a broken nose, while Antonio Daniels played limited minutes against the Lakers due to bruised ribs, sustained against dallas. Post your thoughts, comments and predictions for the game here.
Sad to say but the Sonics are going to have to deal with Sheed and Wallace...not looking too bright about now. Pistons by 6.
Richard Hamilton is not travelling with the Pistons squad, so that's one bonus for Seattle fans who have precious few positives at the moment. Last time around, December 12th, the Sonics held Detroit to 72 points, a franchise low. Can't see that happening again though, not at the moment. The Sonics are 5-14 without Brent Barry.
Pistons have been playing very well for the past two games. I can't see the Sonics winning this game. Detroit will look to get some revenge for what happened on December 12. Pistons by 12.
hopefully they won't let the revenge happen...but with the way they've been playing...blagh...yea. >.< nightmare all over again...I hope they win cuz this is my first game I've gone to.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SEATTLE — Rasheed Wallace scored 18 points and the Detroit Pistons became the first team in the NBA's shot-clock era to hold three consecutive opponents under 70 points with an 86-65 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday night. The Sonics' 65 points tied the franchise low. Ben Wallace had 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Pistons won for the seventh time in eight games. They're 7-3 since acquiring Rasheed Wallace in a trade with Atlanta. Tayshaun Prince scored 14 points for the defensive-minded Pistons, who won 97-66 at Denver and 83-68 in Portland in their two previous games. The Sonics fell to 0-4 in March and 2-9 since the All-Star break to drop nine games under .500. Rashard Lewis, who had 33 points in Seattle's victory at Detroit in December, led the Sonics with 16. The Sonics played without Ray Allen, who was sent home with the flu. They missed the four-time All-Star, shooting just 39 percent (23-for-59).</div> <font size="1">Full Story courtesy of the Seattle Times.</font> This team should let Brent Barry name his own price this summer, they are now 4-16 without him. Rashard Lewis continues to prove he's not capable of stepping it up when he is needed, too. Next Game: vs Timberwolves, Tuesday March 9
I don't think EVERY GAME (that's just kinda exaggerating)...however, when he's under influences of Ray and Brent he seems to get better games...blagh, he needs to work on his independence...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Shard07:</div><div class="quote_post">Like when he scored 50 points? </div> I would have scored 50 in that game. It was versus the clippers in Japan, right? The season opener? Dude, I like the Sonics and Lewis but it's obvious he's just not living up to his expectations. He's not getting it done in crunch time, maybe because Ray Allen or Flip demand the ball, but that doesn't matter. He's not getting it done, not demanding the ball.
I agree with you that hes not living up to his salary...but to say he never has bright spots or good games is untrue. Inconsistent yes, but he's still the best forward on the Sonics' squad.
