Anyone hear that guy's rant on the MSP?

    Hilarious!!

He probably also attends Civil War reenactment festivals......whereas the South wins every year.

If college football is the subject, I put my money on SEC guy to know more than the entire radio show put together.

He's a family practitioner from (I think) Alabama. Had business in Portland all last week and had been listening to the show. He finally called in late in the week and absolutely went off on Chad, Godfather, and Anthony Newman. Essentially, he was saying that even South Carolina could kick Oregon's backsides (go figure...SC beat his beloved Tide. ). Even went on to say that the SEC was actually better than the NFL. At that point he became invisible to me.

Ah, that Southern "only listen to themselves" charm:

Step 1, find a fact (SEC has won last four national titles)
Step 2, make conclusion (SEC is the best conference)
Step 3, jump to other conclusions (most SEC teams could beat every single non-SEC team in the country)
Step 4, jump to even crazier conclusions (SEC teams are better than NFL teams)
Step 5, jump off on wild tangents (Sarah Palin would be a great president, God loves only Southern Americans)
Step 6, give your argument (Repeat everything above to some Godless homosexual Yankee)
Step 7, revel in your truthiness while the other guy responds (I can't hear you!)

    Maybe that's too many steps.

Actually this guy is a fake. He is a radio show host from Texas who calls into other sports talk shows with the persona of SEC guy. He's done other impersonations as well

I can only imagine how insulted they must feel when foreigners call them that.

Term wasn't used by southerners until the 1800s, but it was originally used by the Brits around a 100 years earlier.
