<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LAS VEGAS -- Hornets second-round draft pick Brandon Bass fell hard on his back while trying to block a shot in Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic in the Vegas Summer League. Bass had to be helped off the court, but he returned to play a minute in the fourth quarter. "Just when I was about to get going, I fell on my back," Bass said. "I have to keep icing it, but I think I'll be all right." Near the end of the third quarter, Bass tried to block Magic guard Jameer Nelson's shot when he fell backwards, landing on his lower back. Bass scored four points and had five rebounds in the Hornets' 75-71 loss. On Friday night, Hornets first-round pick Chris Paul sprained his right wrist after falling from a hard foul. He did not play Sunday, but said he might be ready for Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Nets. "It's feeling a little better," Paul said. "It's been real tough, because I hate watching basketball." Coach Byron Scott said he would like Paul to sit out the next two games. "I don't think he needs to play the rest of the summer league because I think he's proven what type of player he is," Scott said. </div> Source
