Second Unit Out Hustles Starters in Practice Too

Lakers coach Phil Jackson watched the starters give up an offensive rebound to the second unit late in Monday afternoon's scrimmage and so he bellowed, "That's what hurt us (Sunday) night. Go get the ball."

Indeed, the Rockets beat the Lakers to almost every rebound and loose ball during a 101-91 victory at Staples Center. One fourth-quarter sequence, in particular, angered Jackson.

"Their little guard (Kyle) Lowry got two offensive rebounds, taking one away from Andrew (Bynum) and got a three-point play," Jackson said. "That was kind of emblematic of our game. They wanted the ball more and were quicker to the ball. ... They just took it away from us and put it in our faces."
