Once again, the much bigger, stronger and younger WBO light flyweight champion Giovanni Segura (27-1-1, 23 KO’s) destroyed Ivan Calderon (34-2-1, 6 KO’s), this time by a 3rd round TKO on Saturday night at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, Mexico. If there was ever a case where a rematch wasn’t needed it was this fight. Segura was just vastly superior last time he fought Calderon last year when he wiped the aging 36-year-old Calderon out in the 8th round last August.
