Who is the most selfish player of ALL TIME...?..In your opinion..?..I know im probably am going to get HUNG..For this..But my guess is michael Jordan...63 points and a loss...I aint a jordan hater...Its just that after studying the REALY stats..I found out jordan couldnt do JACK without pippen or rodman or those role players..But my vote goes to jordan.. !
Michael Jordan, selfish? And if you want to call him selfish, he needed to be, how can you complain with everything he accomplished?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Joel-33:</div><div class="quote_post">Who is the most selfish player of ALL TIME...?..In your opinion..?..I know im probably am going to get HUNG..For this..But my guess is michael Jordan...63 points and a loss...I aint a jordan hater...Its just that after studying the REALY stats..I found out jordan couldnt do JACK without pippen or rodman or those role players..But my vote goes to jordan.. !</div> It's clear you know absolutely nothing about Jordan. Jordan selfish? If thats your stance then it says everything. Jordan was anything but selfish,in his early career he had no one around him that could score consistently other than Orlando Woolridge and Woolrdige came from the same school as Ricky Davis(another selfish mofo).."Freeze The Kid Out" type thing. For the early Bulls to be successful Jordan needed the ball often. Not only was he the main scoring option he also drew enough attention (oft times being triple teamed)for others to pour in points. In Jordan's 1st 3-4 seasons he played alot of point guard, runnin' the show...but the fact is until Pippen came into his own,Jordan had no other real scoring threat on his team. Looking at the stats of the entire team would tell you that. Basing this opinion on stats alone is ridiculous. If you never got to see Jordan in his prime, nor if you know nothing about the man or his play other than stats my vote would you don't know alot. anyways, there are tons and tons and tons of players like this...selfish. Anyways,I'm gonna cast two votes...retired players I've seen..Woolridge gets it. This cat, alot of times wouldn't wait for the offense to get set before he shot the ball. He was a high percentage shooter but he never got his teammates involved and never let the offense develop a true flow. His APG show this. There for a season in Chi-town he averaged like 3 or so a game but that alot to do with Gervin on the team and the fact that Albeck stayed in his @$$ to pass the ball more..but finally his selfishness and laziness got him shipped.... ..Current players it has to be Jalen Rose....this cat gets the dimes but he's one selfish cat who oft times doesn't even try to look for an open man. Not a good thing for someone who thinks he the second comin' of Magic. Just like Woolridge he shoots ALOT before the offense gets set and he's not selective just shoot shoot shoot shoot...he annoys the hell outta me watchin' him play. Sometimes he takes so many bad shots oft times he doesn't need to be defensed by the other team.
Ermmm..ok..Obviously Jordan wasnt the most selfish but hey it was worth a try..Hmm..I think it could be magic Johnson..j/k...lol..I dont think its iverson ...Cos iverson Likes to have the ball..so hes in control... cos he wants to win..He feels safer if the ball is in his hands...and as for t-mac he is kid of the same..I think he gets frustrated when his team is down...So he trys to put to much pressure on himself...And wants to do it by himself..So i think its GOT to be ricky davis..I DESPISE this guy...He is SOOOOO selfish..and i felt really sorry for lebron..When he was trying to be very unselfish for ricky...and there i checked that plus-minus stat thing..and it seems ricky does more damage behind his numbers than good!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">And someone just got pimped, hard. As for the thread, I'd say last year's Antione Walker. lol.</div> Ahaha thats cold, but I'm pretty sure you agreed with him? Well when its all said and done, its Jason Kidd. lol Jk but Ricky Davis was a good mention, but he does have a nice jumper. He is a selfish player, especially when he was on the Cavs. Walker was also pretty selfish last year, look at all those threes he took.
I dont know that Yinka was so much selfish,I think he was just a terrible basketball player on the NBA level...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">And someone just got pimped, hard. As for the thread, I'd say last year's Antione Walker. lol.</div> Antoine Walker averaged more assists last year than Darrell Armstrong, Chauncey Billups, Jamal Crawford, and Nick Van Exel last year. Antoine has been labeled selfish because he took a lot of three pointer under Jim O'Brien, Jim O'Brien's gameplan has always been shoot the three pointer. The Celtics have taken the third most three pointers this season, even without Walker they're still shooting the three. IMO Walker got an unfair label as selfish because he did what his coach wanted.
I think Kobe Bryant maybe not so much anymore though... if You watch Bulls games, watch Marcus Fizer... I mean he practically even wants to dribble it down the court and shoots every time he gets his hands on the ball. Jamal Crawford too, especially when Skiles was just named Bulls coach, he gave Jamal permission to shoot as many times he wanted... Jamal has calmed down now.
When Drew Gooden gets the ball he rarely looks to pass, lots of players are selfish especially the best ones thats why they are the best.ANYONE who says Jordan wasnt selfish is talking crap ,he is the best player ever and thats down to not giving the ball up much. The only thing is you have to prove your good enough to be selfish ,if your selfish and producing the points your all right, like Tmac he is selfish but he has to be.Derek fisher was selfish one time by taking it to the hole in the dying seconds to win the game but messed up ...All im saying is all the high scoring players are selfish wheater you like to admit it or not.
Glenn Robinson is pretty selfish he was really especialy in atl and miluakee but most fo the time he gets the ball he shoots but he is a good shooter so that sometimes makes up for his selfishness
Stephen Jackson and Maurice Taylor. The former left San Antonio cuz he didn't like how they would give the ball to Duncan even if he was screaming for it (cuz Jackson really deserves the ball more than TD). Taylor posts up and calls for the ball every time down the floor; from there he just iso's or tries to back his man down. Passing is definitely not an attractive option.
