Me and Voodoo were having a decision on line and we came along this topic.

I'm absolutely fascinated by serial killers. Not in a sick and twisted way, but from a psychological POV. I love reading about them, I want to get inside of their heads and find out what they're thinking.

I'm currently enrolled in a criminology class that I'm ecstatic about. Does anybody else here share the same interests?

I studied Criminal Justice at university but we barely touched the surface of Serial Killers (Australia isn't known for them).

But they are interesting in the sense of how they think and how detached from the world.

Mamba you should rent the movie Kalifornia.

A journalist duo go on a tour of serial killer murder sites with two companions, unaware that one of them is a serial killer himself.

Read about the Zodiac Killer. Probably the most interesting case ever.

YEAH! I love all that stuff. I love psychology period, but especially with criminals. Right now I'm reading "INside The Criminal Mind" by Stanton Samenow.

An interesting case is the Robert Durst case. Filthy rich real estate heir murders his first wife, gets away with it, then does the same to his second and some record industry mob chick. Hides out in Texas as a transvestite (?), kills some angry vietnam veteran then posts $1m bail and goes back to New York, where he currently resides a FREE MAN. check out his case for sure.

Other movies that are interesting from a criminal psychology point of view are
8mm, Heat, The Professional, Pickpocket, True Crime

There was a special on TLC, it was really well done and made the case interesting. The fact that he taunted the police, wrote letters, wrote scrambles codes and used zodiac/math/military intelligence to commit these crimes and inviting the police to find him. He had balls and dicipline. Not to glorify him....if I ever met him i'd love to crush his skull with a big rock. [IMG]

A lot of serial killers right the police and taunt them, but I do agree, the Zodiac was simply amazing at it. By far, he's one of my favorite serial killers to study.

Criminal Minds is a great show, btw. I suggest you check it out if you would like to dive into the minds of serial offenders.

I'm really thinking about taking up a career in Criminal Profiling, although I know it's hard to get into. Either way, I will most likely work for the FBI.

Isn't that the movie with Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis? Juliette Lewis is mad underrated as an actress. She pulls off that part really convincingly.

I meant to rent that last night, but I was sicker than a dog. Food poisoning blows.

How is the movie? Is it good?
