Also assuming that Hawes would not have helped get the Blazers out of the the first round an integral component to keeping Aldridge happy and in town. Keeping LA beyond next season is worth a lot more than whatever upside Leonard or Robinson have IMO.

Robinson and Leonard don't have to develop to where they were picked, just develop into rotational reserves which they aren't as far off as people like to say while dodging chunks of sky. This team was set up to take advantage of FA in 2015, and to appease their fan base by improving enough to say they made the playoffs. Not what I would have done, but that's what it is. So now you probably have purgatory for a bit. Not good or bad enough to do anything. Honestly, I think the Blazers know their fan base is fine with that.
