Shanahan familiar with Eagles' Foles

    "Although it appears the Eagles won't have concussed quarterback Michael Vick on Sunday, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said his team will prepare for both Vick and rookie backup Nick Foles.

    "Obviously you have to get ready for both," Shanahan said after Monday's practice at Redskins Park. "We're not sure what the situation is. We'll kind of wait and see there. With the concussion that he had, I don't think you're really sure."

    A few hours after Shanahan addressed the local media in Ashburn, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that a source informed him Foles will indeed be under center at FedEx Field. The Philadelphia Inquirer, meantime, reported that Andy Reid emphasized the severity of Vick's concussion but had yet to rule the veteran out.

    "Whoever you think the starter may be, you'll have a game plan [for him]," Shanahan added. "For a guy like Mike, you got to have a second game plan.""
