Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Arizona Republic - Shaquille O'Neal considers Steve Nash's MVP awards to be "tainted." After Miami's loss in Dallas on Thursday, O'Neal was engaged in an MVP discussion as it related to the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki. O'Neal questioned how the media picks MVPs and said the award has been "tainted" the past two seasons. O'Neal was the runner-up for Nash's first MVP in 2005. O'Neal repeated "tainted" references to reporters. "I don't know what to say," Nash said. "I'm sorry he feels that way." [READ]</div> Ouch.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Shaq can be a dick sometmes. Keep your nasty comments to yourself. That's just a mean thing to say...
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' That's just a mean thing to say...wow...come on...if nobody said anything 'mean' to eachother in the media it would be a pretty boring league, I love it when guys call eachother out and say to the media what they say to everyone else...it makes for conversation...I love it when guys bring stuff like this up. Shaq's done it all, if thats the way he feels, he can say it if he wants. (he's probably bitter than he didn't win for MVPs). But...with Shaq, this will be a fun story for a while and it will bring up the conversation about Nash....I love it. Keep talking Shaq.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' That's Shaq for you, he refuses to give anybody credit besides himself. If I were Steve Nash, I would say: "Is it as tainted as you making the All Star team?"

Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' really, is that so Shaq oh, but maybe he wants to get into the mvp race too? FACE IT YOUR NOT THE MVP NOT NOW NOT EVER AGAIN. Especially when your team's losing.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Feb 24 2007, 06:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>That's just a mean thing to say...wow...come on...if nobody said anything 'mean' to eachother in the media it would be a pretty boring league, I love it when guys call eachother out and say to the media what they say to everyone else...it makes for conversation...I love it when guys bring stuff like this up. Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Yeah Shaq is a selfish bastard - one of the many reasons I hate Shaq. I couldnt believe how bad he was in the AS game - he missed like 5 in his face dunks - f*cking idiot.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Nash's MVP's definitely aren't tainted, but I'd definitely love to hear Shaq's reasoning behind saying this. Many things probably come into play including, but not limited to jealousy, etc. Nash won those himself. Shaq is just talking out his ass.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' One of the many stupid things that continue to come out of Shaq's mouth. We'll see what Shaq can do without Wade. My bet is not much.

Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' It's a proven fact that the Suns are not an elite team without Nash. Which in itself define's 'valuable player' For Shaq to go out to the media call out a 2 time MVP, with nothing to back that up now, is absurd. His team is not really ripping the East, he makes All Star games on the fact people think he can play like he used to, and is really not impressing anyone. Sure he is funny, but to call out a 2 time MVP, and a player who has a damn well better record than he does, is just downright asswholeissh.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Why was he even an MVP candidate in 2005?He didn't even put up 20-10 and wasn't the most valuable player for the HeatShaq can be a real bi*ch sometimes thoughI disagree with Nash's MVP last year and think it should've went to Kobe but why would Shaq even say this?It isn't tainted by any means
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' It's makes no sense. He doesn't give a reason for why he feels this way.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' First Wade goes off on Dirk now Shaq goes off on Nash whats next Pat Riley calling Gregg Popovich an attention seeking has been? Maybe if they spent less time bashing other stars and more time focusing on their own team maybe they wouldn't be a sub .500 team

Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Just read this on the Suns board I go on. He's just upset he didn't win it, it doesn't mean too much to me what he says about Nash.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Feb 24 2007, 09:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>So you praise players for being complete dickheads to one another.....okay....I follow the league to watch basketball, not to hear some jackass comments.</div> I praise guys who in this day in age with political correctness/ect say what they believe...If Shaq think's Nash's MVP's were bullsh** let him say it, I love how you guys all hate on Shaq but some of his comments against the Kings, which you could call 'dickhead comments' helped spark the Kings/Lakers rivalry...look at Raja Bell last year...and made it a hell of a lot more interesting. I just think people take Shaq too seriously and some people on BBW throw a hissy fit whenever an athlete says something to the media he says all the time anyway.... Most athletes with the media and all the money are too afraid to say what they feel, Shaq has never let that bother him, I wish the NBA had 25 people like Shaq that make interviews/press conferences worth listening to. I'm never going to bash an athlete who says what he feels (unless it's against a teammates, self infatuation, coach or discriminatory) because I love it. The NBA needs more guys like Shaq/Barkley.
Re: Shaq Calls Nash's MVPs 'Tainted' Shaq and Wade are coming off bitter with their recent comments. All regarding past matters at that. It's obvious they are trying to stay in the graces of the media with their sh*tty season. Not a year a lot of them were thinking of after winning a championship. So they find ways to bring attention.
