<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When everybody goes to Hack-a-Shaq, he becomes not exactly Rick Barry at the line, but he's been pretty good," Heat coach Stan Van Gundy said.

In fact, he's been good enough when it matters that Van Gundy could remember it having any effect only once this season -- early in a blowout loss to the Mavericks.

"It doesn't work," O'Neal said. "The millennium started five years ago, and I've been to the Finals four times. So something ain't working."

Thursday seemed an odd time to try, with O'Neal coolly making 8 of 12 even before his final flourish. That accuracy actually energized the rest of his game, since when O'Neal is on target from the line, "I want the ball every time."

And what he wants, he gets. </div> Source
