SHAQ finally gives Kobe some "love" <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I was blessed to win 3 championships with the great Kobe Bryant, and now I have won a title with the unbelievable Dwayne Wade</div> Shaq said the above at the Superman Premier last night 6/21/06 Question of the day: Which is better, GREAT or UNBELIEVABLE? lol, Shaq and his ways, he's hilarious. In my opinion, I think Great > Unbelievable. Great means established, they refer to Brazil's best player/the best soccer player in the world as the "Great Ronaldinho" What do you guys think? <u>Let's not start this into a flame war, if it does, I will ask Trench or Shape to move it to another forum.</u> I just thought it was funny Shaq used both of the adjectives in the same sentence, probably to keep us fans guessing which is superior.
Great can be a label to anyone, but unbelievable is where you can't even believe the person did that. Unbelievable > great
Isn't kind of creepy how the new Superman movie was released shortly after Shaq won the title? One of his many nicknames is Shaq, and he has the Superman emblem all over his house. It's a helluva a coincedence.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">Great can be a label to anyone, but unbelievable is where you can't even believe the person did that. Unbelievable > great</div> For example, it's unbelievable Shaq said something great about Kobe? OR It's great Shaq said something unbelievable about Kobe?
Hey guys!! I missed you TBM, Trench and the rest of the fellas over at the <u>Lebron aint MJ or Kobe</u>, and <u>Wade better than Kobe threads</u>; hope you come back soon!! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Which is better, GREAT or UNBELIEVABLE?</div> In this case, in this context with information provided- I'd say "UNBELIEVABLE"
^how did i somehow KNOW you were gonna show up in this thread.. hmm...anyways, think about it this way, you can be unbelievablly great but you can't be greatly unbelievable.
I asked my brother (he likes Kobe but likes Shaq too) He says Unbeliveable > Great But it's not used in the context: Kobe is a GREAT Player. It's used in the context: The GREAT Kobe Bryant lol. Oh well, Shaq probably meant Unbeliveable > Great, but it's always fun to analyze things
Shaq said this concerning Dwyane Wade. "He's the best right now, and that's all you can say," center Shaquille O'Neal said. "He's the best." He also said, "DWade is the greatest ever," during the Championship presentation. He obviously meant unbelievable > great.
lol, I don't know how threads get made like this. At least they are entertaining. I do find it a strange coincidence that the Superman movie came out right after Shaq won a ring. Being Shaq = Superman and Wade = Flash I guess after Wade's next ring a Flash movie needs to come out. and maybe after the Great Kobe Bryant's next ring a Alexander the Great movie needs to come out. :S
In shaq's words Unbelievable > Great At least he gave Kobe his props and he knows that Bryant had something to do with his 3 championship runs with the Lakers. He cant say that about Penny Hardaway. haha. I liked that Orlando team too.
OMG... I can't believe you're discussing which of two words has the most power in it... Obviously, it would have sounded pretty repetitive if he had used only one of the words to describe both players. Just be glad he said something good about Kobe instead, and stop caring too much about how other people rate different players.
Shaq also once said that Kobe was his hero. This week he'll complement Kobe and the next he'll bash him. Most the things he say's are for the camera.
Uh, why you guys get all sensitive about sh!t? I thought it was funny, so I made a thread, and asked a question. What are you gona tell me? "HEY DUDE GET A LIFE" It's a forum, and I'm gonna post relevant sh!t. Shaq is a very smart man, he knows how to really mess with people's heads. Shaq's the type where he gives a compliment, but disses you at the same time. It's kinda like a guy telling a girl "I don't like girls with big boobs, I like a girl with small boobs like yours" It's giving a compliment, but at the same time, kinda putting that person down. Maybe not the best analogy, but you get what I mean. He could have said "I won 3 rings with the Lakers and now 1 ring with Dwyane Wade and Miami" But instead, he took the high road and mentioned Kobe along with the 3 rings. Bahir, learn to read between the lines my man, Shaq could have just said that same sentence without the "Great" and "unbelievable". You think it's a coincidence he decided to use those adjectives in that order? If you listen to the audio, he said it without pause. Personally, I don't care, just thought it was funny and thought I'd post it on the Lakers forum. 1
I liked it when shaq said supermans only weakness is kryptonite, almost like me my krypotnite is free throws
how can this not be seen as a diss to Kobe? The only reason he said this whole sentence was to diss Kobe by putting him Below Dwayne
How is that a diss to Kobe, to Shaq, and a hell of a lot of people including myself this is true. He said Kobe was a great player, thats a diss? That Dwayne Wade the finals MVP is regarded as better?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BlueBayou87:</div><div class="quote_post">How is that a diss to Kobe, to Shaq, and a hell of a lot of people including myself this is true. Ive been on mixmakers.net/forums alot and theres been alot of discussion about how Wade is getting close to Kobe. IMO he's pretty close but not at his level yet. People are already thinking that Wade is better than Kobe. Im impressed by Dwayne wade but I dont think his accomplishments even level up to Kobes. And it is ludicrous that he got so many freethrows in the finals. It was like a freethrow exhibition for him. How can the league let the game be won by a freethrow? No wonder the ratings are low
