Also, throughout the whole press conference (it was like 30 minutes long) he kept referring to getting a contract extension and kept making that an issue in almost any question that was asked.
Yeah I had negative thoughts about landing SHaq here but I think I will start to like him and oh well i hope he keeps his promise as well.

He's got the key to the city for many reasons. He will help the community & sell more tickets. It was just an appropriate time to give it to him now.
Last year, AA Arena was sold out almost every single night for the second half of the season, even against bottom feeders like the Hawks. There is very little room for attendance to go up, I just think they'll sell more season tickets.
Is it me or am I the only one who finds Shaq's joke corny as hell. Some of those one liners and so called jokes he was saying were dumb as well. Also Wade Dynasty, your avatar is awesome. Where did you pick that up?

of course they are celebrating now...because with shaq's big contract and having dealt 3 of their key pieces from their last playoff run, they won't have another chance to celebrate a championship for at least a few more years...and to whoever said that shaq kept mentioning an extension...yah get used to it...welcome to the lakers hell for the past 2 years... thanks for taking him off our hands...suckers
