yeah i think he is a bit skinny compared last season.. i guess he misses Kobe so much he couldnt eat...lol
He doesn't look any different to me from those pics. Can't be sure until I see him in a uniform and moving. Shaq can only get better by losing weight. I'm not sure of his body fat % is now, but I know early in his career it was close to 10% which is ideal. He should drop his weight down to 310-320 pounds to be the most effective. I think he's been playing at around 340+ for the past several years. I hope Shaq can be as dominant as ever next year. He's already one of the greats of all time, in my opinion. Definitely top 10. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do next season.
It's like his dominating abilities are gone? He could lose 100 pounds, and he will still be the most dominant player untill he retires.
yeah, he looks like he lost any where from 5-20 pounds. Which shows his dedication to the Heat. Watch out East Coast.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting trenchteam:</div><div class="quote_post">He got smaller. Not as small as his debut in the NBA though. </div> Yeah, he still looks to be about 10 to 15 lbs bigger then his rookie debut currently. His rookie year it was hard to believe that he still was 300lbs. He was 301, I remember that so vividly because I thought he was like 280 lbs.
Shaq looks like he is taking conditioning seriously this year. I feel he will have a monster year and win the MVP. He looks to be a man on a mission.
Here is the article : http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sport...all/9570639.htm I had some doubts shaq could get in better shape but I guess he proved me wrong.
This honestly makes me real glad Shaq is gone to be honest. I've never been one to really support pushing Shaq out of L.A. after all he had done for us, but I really am glad. For years the Lakers have asked him to get into shape and has heard that he needed to for years here in L.A. but he had never done that. Now that he's in Miami and is trying to prove the Lakers wrong he's all of a suddenly motivated to lose weight... That just seems so selfish of him, and it's something I'm glad we won't be seeing anymore. The "I've always been the type of player to do what I'm told to do'' is the biggest joke of all... He's just doing it to prove L.A. wrong. Remember last offseason he said he would be in real good shape (actually said under 300lbs but we all knew that wasn't possible)? He did come into camp in decent shape, but no where near where he said he would be...
