On ESPN radio, it was said that the Clippers are rumored to make a move to acquire Shaquille O'Neal. The deal would involve sending Elton Brand, swingman Corey Corey Maggette and their #4 Draft Pick to the Lakers in exchange for Shaquille O’Neal. If I were the Lakers GM I would do this in heartbeat, what do you guys think about this?

To much being given up by the clippers. There giving up there two top scorers. That more than make up for shaq scoring. The only players they have signed to be long term players. They are giving up a double double guy. Plus a guy that has continusly averaged more points in every 5 season.

Then they lose any shot at getting a good player by trading there fourth pick. They lose there chance at livingston so now they just traded two good players and one who has potential. What do they get in return Shaq. 32 year old SHAQ. Though domination which no one can question the clippers are giving up way to much. Double teams on shaq would cancel any chance of the clippers scoring at all. He would also kill the clippers fast break because of his slow speed.

I read about this sinario last night in a thread from the rumor mill. They had the same players involved, and also Melvin Ely would go to the Lakers. I really doubt this just because they're giving up too much young talent for an older Shaq who costs almost as much as their whole team's pay roll.

Thats a really good deal for the Lakers. They get Corey Maggete which is a future All Star. And a great passer Shaun Livingston. SO if they get them, the lakers won't have to worry about losing Kobe and GP. But I doubt the this deal will go down. Its seems like the Lakers are about to trade Shaq to Dallas.

im a wizard fan but i love to watch..and bet..lol on the clippers. BUT if they gave up them three players for shaq i promise you i would never watch them again. maggette is the most underatted player in my opinion and already is an allstar to me. and elton brand is leadership and there big guy. and then at that--ur giving up another future all star in levingston. what would be clippers team? pg-jaric c-shaq pf-kaman/wilcox sf-Q sg-??? i much rather see in 2 years...

    pg-levingston
    sg-maggette
    sf-Q rich
    pf- brand
c-wilcox/kaman(wilcox i prefer..md guy and fits better for offence with his speed)

all im sayin is the clippers have a bright future ahead of them..if they dont get shaq.

I think this would be a good mover for the clippers. They havent done anything special with maggete or richardson. Why nto pick up the most dominating player in teh L and see how it feels to probably be in the playoffs for the first time in 7 years. I think they should do this.

---edit--- i still kind of agree with that, but im an isiot and forgot that brand was involved! but its still a case of what have you done for me latley. But now that i see brand is involved, i may think the clippers would want to get a little more out of thsi deal.

Shaq will not be signed to the Clippers. Donald Sterling has not been known to be someone that likes to pay the big bucks on just one player. He has signed EB and Cmag to big contracts, but that was just so that he can hit the BARE MINIMUM of a team's payroll. This trade will not happen. Thank goodness.

It won't happen, but wouldn't it be funny if Kobe signed with the Clippers, then Shaq got traded to Clippers, LOL.

Shaq is selling his house in LA, so it's over, this thread is done, no Shaq to the Clippers, and I didn't want it anyways.

    and.....

Would the Lakers really care if Shaq wanted to go to the Clippers or not? Unless Sterling only wanted Shaq if he resigned, I don't see why the Lakers wouldn't pull that trade. Stupid Shaq!
