I'm a little bit frustrated at the way Shaq's been playing individual defense. This is from a center that some argue is the greateest center ever. For the first time in a long time, he came into camp in shape, yet there seems to be little difference. Tonight versus the grizzles, Tsakalidas and Lorezen Wright combine at center for 27pts and 15 rbs. Last game versus the Hornets, Magloire gets 13pts and 8 rbs against shaqs 21pts and 6 rbs. Against the spurs, Shaq had a great offensive game but Rahso Nesterovic had 14pts and 9 rbs. Against the Warriors, Erick Dampier had 14pts and 23 rbs. Even Joe smith of the bucks managed to get 11 rbs.

So in the last 5 games, the opposing centers are averging about 15pts and 13 rbs and shooting 51% fg. Shaqs putting up all-star numbers, but he's giving all-stars also, and none of those guys metioned above have ever made an all-star team..

That whole laker defense is playing terrible so far. They were ranked 27th in pts against per game coming into the memphis game.

Shaq has never been a good defender to tell ya the truth, gets lazy on that end of the floor.
